15th Finance Commission
Government Decision No.: P.V.A.-2020/P.K.59/Finance-4, Rural Development Department dated June 26, 2020, as per the recommendations of the Fifteenth Central Finance Commission, funds have been received for the strengthening of rural local self-government institutions for a period of five years from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2025. While distributing funds to the states, the Central Government has calculated the said funds as per the criteria of population and area as per the 2011 Census. The funds presented have been received in the form of two types of grants, 1) Basic Grant (Untied) and 2) Tied Grant (Tied), and have been divided in the ratio of 50-50 percent. Accordingly, the funds received in the form of the above two types of grants under the 15th Finance Commission have been distributed to the Panchayat Raj Institutions in accordance with the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission and the guidelines issued by the Central Panchayat Ministry. The criteria for distributing funds to the Panchayat Raj Institutions in the state have been determined, the matters to be done by the Panchayat Raj Institutions from the distributed funds have been determined, and the guidelines/instructions to be followed by the Panchayat Raj Institutions while spending the funds have been determined.
