Nature of the scheme

1. Centrally sponsored Prime Minister in the state under Government Decision dated 14th October 2016 of Government of Maharashtra, Department of Rural Development Government of Maharashtra has issued instructions regarding implementation of Awas Yojana – Rural.
2. The erstwhile Indira Awas Yojana has been converted into Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Rural.
3. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural started from 14th October 2016.
4. Socio-Economic and Caste wise Census (SECC) – From the Generated Priority List of 2011 to Gram SabhaTo the Kachcha House Holders / Homeless Beneficiaries included in the Priority List (Permanent Wait List) who are eligible by selectionPermanently. The objective of the scheme is to provide benefits of Gharkula.
