Yashwantrao Chavan Free Colony Scheme
Government decision of Freed Castes Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra c. According to Neo-2017/P.No.060/Vijabhaj-1 dated 24th January 2018, in order to bring the community of freed castes and nomadic tribes into the mainstream of development, to raise their standard of living, increase their source of income, provide them with land and set up a colony there in order to achieve stability, make them economically self-sufficient, Ramai Awas Yojana or Yashwantrao Mukta Vasahat Yojana on the lines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
- Beneficiary selection criteria
- Beneficiary family should belong to freed caste nomad tribe and earn their livelihood by wandering from village to village.
- The annual income of a Labharbha family is Rs. should be less than 1.20 Lakhs.
- The beneficiary family should not own their own house.
- Beneficiary family should be homeless or living in a hut/kitchen/shelter.
- Beneficiary family should be landless (except project affected and resettled), collective settlement to beneficiaries in villages.
