Integrated Child Development Service Scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme.4395 Anganwadi Centers are functioning under 22 projects in 13 talukas of the district.
1. The following six services are provided to the beneficiaries of the Anganwadi Centers of the Integrated Child Development Service Scheme.
i. Supplementary nutritional food is provided to the beneficiaries of the Anganwadi Centers.
ii. Vaccination of children in Anganwadi is done.
iii. Health check-up of children in Anganwadi is done.
iv. Referral health services are provided to sick children.
v. Nutrition and health education is provided to children in Anganwadi and beneficiaries.
vi. Informal pre-school education is provided to children in Anganwadi.

2. Anganwadi building construction –
If the Anganwadi center does not have its own building, the proposal for such Anganwadi centers should be submitted to the Women and Child Welfare Department in the prescribed format with the signature of the Block Development Officer. The construction of the Anganwadi building is done after approving the said works from the District Annual General Plan of DPC.
3. Anganwadi building repair –
If the Anganwadi building is 10 years old and the said building needs minor repairs, the proposal should be submitted to the Women and Child Welfare Department in the prescribed format with the signature of the Block Development Officer along with the budget. The said repair works are done after approving the said works from the District Annual General Plan of DPC.
